The drag chain conveyor is made up of an endless chain or cable, pulling a series of skeleton or solid plug flights through and enclosed casing or housing. Material is introduced through and opening in the casing, where it is captured by the flights, and drawn through the casing until it reaches an opening in the housing where it is discharged by gravity.
