It consists of a series of wooden or steel pans with crimped edges to ensure minimal material loss. Apron conveyors are suitable for adaptation to withdrawing lumpy loads from hoppers, bins etc. Apron conveyors can also be built to resist high impact unit loads and convey relatively hot materials.
